Wedding Cakes
All customers who book their wedding cake with Another Slice will have to pay a delivery and set up fee as wedding cakes are not for collection. This fee will be dependent upon wedding venue location.
All wedding cake customers will have to pay a £50 non refundable deposit to secure their wedding date. The next payment is due 6 weeks before the wedding, and then the final payment will need to be paid 2 weeks before the wedding date. I cannot release the cake if all the payments have not been made.
Any alterations that you want to make will need to be mentioned as soon as possible. I cannot guarantee that these alterations can be made.
Another Slice accepts no responsibility for any damages to Wedding cakes after delivery and setup at the venue. I will always take photos of the cake set up before I leave the venue.
Please be aware that tiered cakes will most likely have support dowels within the sponges of the cake and these will need to be removed before consuming. All allergies will need to be mentioned when booking your chosen date with me as this cannot be changed at a later date.
Prices
All cakes are designed using fresh ingredients and are made to your requirements so prices vary throughout all my cakes that I sell. All prices are dependent on the size of the cake, the fillings on the cake and also the complexity of making the cake for example sugar crafting models etc.
All Celebration cakes booked in will need a 50% non refundable deposit to secure the date in the diary. With the rest of the balance owing on collection or delivery.
Delivery
All the cakes I create here at Another Slice are available for collection at my business address in Ellesmere Port or if you prefer them to be delivered this is also available. Delivery is subject to location so when you book your cake with me please let me know the delivery location so I can give you a price for delivery.
Another Slice cannot accept responsibility for cakes that have been collected and have been damaged after collection. Once the cake leaves my business, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the cake gets to the location in a suitable condition. I will always take photographs of the cakes before they leave my address.
Supports and Stands
Within all cakes that are tiered there are plastic or wooden food grade support dowels. These have been put in to ensure the cake is supported for extra weight of other tiers. Please remove these before consuming the cake.
With cakes that have Sugarcraft/fondant figures please be aware that although these are created with edible Sugarpaste, I would highly recommend that you do not consume these. Quite often there will be wooden dowels or wire within the figures to hold the shape or to hold it onto the cake.
Care of Cake
Cake care is a very important thing to carry out, to ensure your cake makes the journey safely. Keep the cake as straight as possible to ensure it doesn’t slide. Do not hold the cake whilst travelling. It is best in the boot or the front seat of the car where nothing can be slid into the cake box. Keep your car cool whilst transporting the cake, especially for buttercream covered cakes in the summer and warm weather. For storing your cake keep it at room temperature and not in the sun. Cakes would need to be consumed within a week for consuming the cake at its best.
Enjoy your cake and Another Slice hopes to see you soon.
